Ovechkin 1100

Alexander Ovechkin, Washington Capitals captain and winger, reached and reestablished a couple of milestones with his four point night last night the other night:

1100 NHL career regular season points.
#61 all time, moving ahead of Glenn Anderson and 57 total points outside of the top 50.

1.125 NHL career regular season points per game
#19 all time. Ovechkin resides with Gretzky, Lemieux, Bossy, Dionne, Esposito, Lafontaine as the only players in the top 25 with a minimum of .500g/.500a — with Gretzky, Lemieux, Bossy as the only better than .600g/.500a players — with only Bossy as a player to reach it primarily as a goal scorer (Bossy has a mammoth .760g/.735a)
