quip: in who’s image?

Halo image wikipediaThe Bible (depending on your belief’s definition of the religious printed text itself) is filled with conundrums and questions leaving us mere mortals at an impasse in its interpretation. There’s a general consensus among some sects of certain interpretations of the Word that believe “Man” is made in the “image” of “G-d.” There’s a general consensus among some sects of certain interpretations of the Word that believe “Man” was grated by “G-d” the concept of “Freewill.” Depending on how you rectify all the variant interpretations of the two with the concept of “divine will” or “destiny” or whatever you chose to call it it poses some interesting conundrums and questions…

This isn’t a post about theology or any other theory per se, as much as it was a response to this past weekend’s music affairs and the less than ingenious responses to them, causing me to come up with the following quote posed in the general reflection of, well, everyone trying to claim some sort of halo:

G-d is sitting there thinking, I sure am glad I gave mankind free will or I’d be really screwed having some of them be a ‘reflection of me,’ now, at least, I have an out!
