quip: living doc

Tree in a Book as a Living DocumentSometimes a quick quip can open a pandora’s box of inappropriate. Today’s quip happened because a friend of mine posted his peeve about the phrase “living document.” It is an all-too cliche term that comes up in corporate life designating something as “never to be completed” for any number of reasons. After his initial complaint I quipped:

Me: When you accidentally delete it, is that negligent homicide?

Trust me, you don’t want to read all the inappropriate metaphors that followed …
