making a legacy

My former blog partner Bobby routinely forwards me any random sports article he comes across and some of them turn into pretty brilliant conversations. This one began on a post someone produced about the legacy of the Philadelphia Phillies

Nice little blog here.. Thoughts? They have to win the world series to be completely in this discussion…

agree… otherwise they are only going to be talked about like the Seattle Marriners when then won over 110 and the Braves when neither couldn’t pull the trigger on completing the post season

but the NL needed a team like the Phils in general since even with their recent WS wins they’ve not produced regularly dominant teams in decades it seems.

That’s what I’m saying. Phils have to make more out of getting there. Now that we have a winning team we want more. We want the dynasty

Well, they’ve come a long way over the past five years. NLE regular season number ones since posting back to back appearances since 07, back to back world series appearances plus the one win. If they can keep that pace up a few more years and pull down maybe another title it certain goes a long way to the argument.

Yeah. We’ll never be the late 90s Yanks but it would be nice to have more than one title every half a century

I’ve said it before, you know it’s sad that as dysfunctional as the Marlins are they even are World Series champs more often than you!
