app three: lgbt

There is a lot happening in the LGBT world right now, the possible repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell thanks to one judge doing something the current Congress cannot seam to get done, the ongoing battles, especially in California about the status of Gay Marriage, the recent rash of youth suicides in the community, etc. Especially on the last point, i previously wrote up an idea for the Kristen Hope Foundation to create an app dedicated to providing at-risk youth a tool to reach out for help with on the mobile platform, their most precious personal resource. In considering the different options on doing something for the LGBT community I looked to the LGBT Center in NYC, which on several internet searches was consistently among the top links. Since I couldn’t find any apps on most stores that addressed key issues it became a mission to try and piece together an app for them.

For the first generation of a native application like this
