mixtape: mosh it up

So, how can one even begin to conceive of arguing with a randomized mix that decides you need to begin the commuting year with not one, but TWO Testament songs! Truly genius, to say the least and if for nothing more than one was “into the pit” … well if that is anything it’s a quick way to get into work on the first Monday of the year rubbing elbows with fellow NYC commuters… press sweaty against your friend to these. Remember, according to lore, Mike Marine, a former U.S. Marine and star of The Decline of Western Civilization, performed the first slam dance in 1979… my how far the pits have come since:

Boysetsfire “After the Eulogy” from After the Eulogy
Fight “Into the pit” from War of Words
Testament “Into the pit” from the Legacy
Anthrax “Caught in a mosh” from Among the Living
Slayer “Raining Blood” from Reign in Blood
Metallica “Whiplash” from Kill ’em All
Iron Maiden “Iron Maiden” from Iron Maiden
Judas Priest “Rapid Fire” from British Steel
Exodus “Toxic Waltz” from Toxic Waltz
Quiet Riot “Bang Your Head” from Mental Health
Ozzy Osbourne “Crazy Train” from
Corrosion of Conformity “Dance of the Dead” from Blind
Nine inch Nails “March of the Pigs”
Darkest Hour “the Last Dance Massacre” from So Sedated
Lamb of God “Foot in the Throat”
Slipknot “Wait and Bleed”
Pantera “(fucking) Hostile” from

oh and as a post script, because EVERYONE needs a water break
Fugazi “Last Chance for a slow dance” from In on the Kill Taker
and a good laugh
Son Of Dork “Murdered In The Mosh”
props for those of you who can actual thrash it out… and more props to those who pressed otherwise to these grooves!
